Protecting Bats and Restoring a Historic Farm

Austwel successfully completed a roofing project for RWE Generation UK Plc. This involved replacing the roof of a main barn with new timber framing and an artificial slate covering. Surrounding buildings received extensive repairs using salvaged natural slates. The project was subject to strict ecological constraints due to the presence of bats.

Austwel collaborated with ecologist company Bio Scan UK, surveyors, and roofing contractors to ensure compliance with Natural Resources Wales regulations and project deadlines.
